Understanding artificial intelligence is advantageous (and imperative) for students and teachers alike. Artificial intelligence has permeated facets of our daily lives, from personalized recommendations to medical breakthroughs. Fostering an understanding of AI is essential for helping students navigate the ethical implications and societal impacts of this technology, and equipping students with the fundamentals of its workings is an investment in staying informed and adaptable. 

 

When considering which AI learning tools to implement in your classroom, there are many factors you’ll need to compare: educational level, teaching method, technical specifications, privacy and security, and more. Also, try to evaluate these products with the ISTE+ASCD Transformational Learning Principles in mind. For example, do they Ensure Equity and Elevate Reflection? Do they consider students’ identities, strengths, and voices while giving them time and support to reflect on AI's impact?
