How I Might Use It

Kami is an intuitive tool designed to support all learners, especially those with diverse needs and learning styles. It allows teachers to turn PDFs, Google Docs, Slides, or Sheets into interactive resources tailored to individual learners. This aligns with the ISTE Standard "Accommodate Learner Differences" by allowing students to annotate in various ways—typing, drawing, inserting media, or using speech-to-text—ensuring that every student can engage in a way that works best for them. Additionally, Kami’s text-to-speech feature can read PDFs aloud, providing essential support for auditory learners or students with reading challenges.

Teachers can further enhance accessibility by embedding comments directly into documents. These comments can include audio clips, videos, or links to external resources, extending learning opportunities and creating a truly interactive experience. Kami’s flexibility makes differentiation seamless, allowing teachers to adapt content to meet the needs of all students, including those who require additional accommodations.

How I Might Use It

Read&Write is a powerful Chrome extension designed to enhance accessibility for all learners. It offers a variety of features that make content more understandable and engaging. This aligns with the ISTE Standard "Accommodate Learner Differences" by allowing users to easily define words and view picture-based definitions, helping to clarify meaning and improve vocabulary comprehension. Additionally, Read&Write allows students to highlight text, aiding in the organization and focus of key concepts.

One of its most valuable features is the read-aloud function, which can read on-screen text aloud. This feature provides crucial support for auditory learners, students with reading difficulties, or those who prefer listening to content.
